Candy Shoppe!

The June Cocoa Daisy kit is so full of colour and happiness! It goes on sale on June 1st! :)

For this page I splattered some pink mist over the background. The "you're sweet" is one of the stamps in the main kit and it came out so fab!

Alva was making shadow puppets and Tuva wanted to join in. :) So very cute! I used the main kit + Candy Dots and Gum Drops add ons.

It doesn't really show in the photos but I added Glimmer Glaze to the thickers.

Tomorrow is Reveal Day at Cocoa Daisy!

Birthday parties and cats on antibiotics... garden stuff, laundry and early mornings on the train... I need more hours in the day!

Tomorrow is Reveal Day at Cocoa Daisy and the June kit makes me so happy, in the middle of all the craziness... :)

Here's just a tiny, tiny peek...

Opening presents...

The weather was wonderful on Tuva's birthday and we decided to open her presents outside. She asked Linus and Alva for help with the opening every now and then and it was all really nice. :) She loved her kitty hat and I love it too... :)

I made this layout for Pyssloteket, using one of the wonderful Prima papers from the Sunrise Sunset collection.

The list of all the supplies I used is found on the blog.

Project Art - Cocoa Daisy

Cocoa Daisy and art journaling? Yes! Christine is putting together a monthly add on that will be available in limited quantities and focused on art journaling. I am so so excited, because I will get to share techniques and inspiration on how to use the Project Art kit each month.

Using the high quality mixed media journal in the Project Art Starter Kit, I created a few pages using various supplies and bits and pieces from the May kit and add ons.

For this page I used the label stamp that comes in the Starter Kit, the Nate basics alpha stamp set and some twine from the May main kit.

I wrote "yes or no" several times, in the wet gesso and then I used mist and acrylic paint for my background.

Busy, busy...

This week is a very special week and May is a very special month. Three of our four kids were born in May. Actually, Linus was supposed to be born around May 15th too... but ended up being born on April 2nd instead (due to my preeclampsia)...

It's not just that we have three birthdays in May - we have three birthdays in a week!

On Friday the 17th we celebrated Tuva who is now 2 years old! She is fabulous... chatting, singing... making jokes and making us happy... :)

Yesterday was Hugo's day. 8 years with and without him. We put some ballons up at the grave, but I have to admit that I haven't really had the time to feel and think everything that I probably need to feel and think. I'm choosing to accept that things are the way they are though - busy. Hugo is always with me and I know that those feelings and thoughts will show up, eventually.
We spent most of the weekend outside, working in the garden. There are still a million dandelions in our front yard and there is still so much to do, but it felt so very good that we got as far as we did and to spend so many hours outside in the lovely weather.
Friday is Alva's birthday! She is very excited and I wonder what Tuva will think when all the presents are for Alva and not for her. She didn't really know what a birthday was before Friday, but now everyday is her birthday I believe. :)
That's what I've been up too... but I promise you that you will soon see some scrapping and art journaling in this blog too!

My second and last contribution as a guest designer for the Art for myself blog, is an art journaling page on the theme "improvement". I really loved creating this busy background and then stamping words and adding strips of journaling.

I used several different Cocoa Daisy stamps, and my old Making Memories magnetic stamp set too! :)

I've had such a hard time keeping up with the blogging lately. There's too much going on and I've been too tired in the evenings. I don't know if I need to change my perspective on what it means "to be tired" since it seems to be a state that I never leave... :P

Anyway... we had Thursday and Friday off and we've been having a lovely time. J and I went to see Meshuggah in Stockholm on Thursday evening and for the first time since Tuva was born - two years ago! - we stayed the night away from the kids. We had a great time and they had a great time too. :) Tuva did need quite a lot of hugging when we came home yesterday, but she was all fine while we were gone. (Of course she was. But I couldn't help being a bit nervous.)

The concert was great! I wish I could do that more often. I need to at least remember to listen to music more often. :)

Enough of the ramblings and onto the scrapping! This is a layout I made for Pyssloteket, using beautiful Prima papers designed by Anna Dabrowska. I kept it really simple, just die cutting shapes and adding some machine stitching.

Cocoa Daisy Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Cocoa Daisy Day of Inspiration Blog Hop! You should have come from Alissa's blog. If you're starting here, be sure to go to the Cocoa Daisy blog and check out the rest of the team's bags!

Here's my Maya Road hip bag! I had so much fun decorating it! I started out by covering the front with gesso and then added lots of stamping and acrylic paint. I also did some doodling with a black pen. Creating layers is fun, adding dots and lines and circles...

I'm going to be giving away this Cocoa Daisy exclusive Everyday Icons Stamp Set. Please leave a comment on this post and tell me something that is inspiring you right now!

If you LIKE the Cocoa Daisy Facebook page and let me know, I'll enter you a second time in my drawing! I'll be closing the drawing on Monday the 6th of May at 8 AM EST. I'll announce the winner here on my blog on Wednesday the 8th.

Good luck!

Now it's on to Ashley! I hope you've been inspired by my bag!

Here's a master list if you started in the middle:

Cocoa Daisy Inspiration Day and Blog Hop!

You are invited...!!! Join us at Cocoa Daisy on Saturday the 4th for a day full of inspiration, games and fun! We will also host blog hop with prizes and there will be a competition - don't miss this! :)

Register for our message board here!

Here are a couple of more layouts that I've made using the May kit + add ons. The first one was made using mostly supplies from the add on Johnny B. I really loved the fabric brads and the fuzzy rub ons!

This second one is about how we had to stay at home from work sooo many days during February and March, because of sick children (and most often Tuva).
